The DMVPA promotes excellence in teaching, research, third mission, and technology transfer, adopting an integrated One Health approach that values animal, human, and environmental health.

The Department’s activities are supported by innovative technologies and strong connections with the local community through the Integrated Hub and collaborations with the Regional Health Service, ASL, and the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Mezzogiorno.

The Department offers a comprehensive and high-quality educational program:

  • 4 Study Programs (Bachelor’s and Master’s, including Veterinary Medicine and Precision Livestock Farming)
  • PhD programs, specialization schools, Master’s programs, and advanced training courses
  • Advanced clinical programs such as the Clinical Rotating Internship and Standard Residency

The Department’s research activities are multidisciplinary, focusing on animal health and welfare, food safety, and innovations in farming techniques and clinical practices.

DMVPA ensures high-quality standards through ISO 9001:2015 certifications and EAEVE accreditations, while promoting internationalization, mobility, and scientific collaborations.

Third mission and social impact initiatives include:

  • Scientific dissemination and technology transfer
